Study Group

So we have an assignment to make an event of some sort. So I chose the easiest and basic for students, study group. I think study group is very important for students to learn from each better and better as well as getting closer to each other even more.
I was thinking so the event would be held in one of the student’s house. It would be held around 3 o’clock up to 6 o’clock in the afternoon. This is so the students could eat first before and eat again
after the study. The students don’t have to bring anything. Just bring their necessary books and exercise sheets so they can learn together.
I believe a group study is the most efficient way of studying. This is because students could learn from their friend even longer and having a relaxing time while studying. Another advantage is that learning from each other could increase the understanding of the lessons better. The language used by the teachers sometimes could be unclear or too fast. This will cause confusion in the students, slowing them down on their studies.

What is the event?
When is the event?
Where is it likely to be?
Why do you think it's necessary? How do you think we could improve this event?

Lions

Image result for lions
I don't know why, but I've always liked lions ever since I was a child.'The King Of The Jungle' is always my favourite animal. So which is why I would say that this animal is the best animal I've ever seen.
Characteristics
Lions(Panthera leo) is a vicious predator. So vicious that it got its name as 'The King Of The Jungle'. This animal is muscular, deep-chested cat with a short, rounded head, a reduced neck and round ears. Its fur varies in colour from light buff to silvery grey, yellowish red and dark brown. The colours of the underparts are generally lighter.

Habitat
Image result for lions in their habitat Typically, the lion inhabits grasslands and savannas but is absent in dense forests. It is usually more diurnal than other big cats, but when persecuted it adapts to being active at night and at twilight. In the Pleistocene, the lion ranged throughout Eurasia, Africa and North America but today it has been reduced to fragmented populations in Sub-Saharan Africa and one critically endangered population in western India. It has been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996 because populations in African countries have declined by about 43% since the early 1990s. Lion populations are untenable outside designated protected areas. Although the cause of the decline is not fully understood, habitat loss and conflicts with humans are the greatest causes for concern.

Lions Life Cycle

A lion life cycle is different from many animals. First, they are a cub, then a young Lion, last they are an adult lion.

A Lion's life cycle is not very complicated. By the age of three male lions can leave their prides and create a new one. When a female lion is four years old, they can have up to six baby cubs. But usually, they have 3 or 4.

A male lion and a female lion’s life span are different. Males live up to 16 years but they usually live to 10 or 12 years. Female lions can live up to 18 years but, usually live to 12 or 13 years. You can tell after reading this people live longer than lions.

Magnus Carlsen

I really liked this guy because of his passion towards the game. He went out of school confidently just to go and experience some tournaments to hone his skills. He went on and on without stopping winning the world championships from 2013 and is winning ever since. I am also fan due to his abilities and skills even from when he was young. He was a prodigy ever since he was a teenager. I want to hone my skills too as a chess player and hopefully be as good as him and win many tournaments.

Carlsen Magnus (30238051906).jpg  You haven't heard of it, but I really liked chess. The game thrills me, teaching me how to make strategies to kill the king. It is a thrilling game yet simple with only a few rules. As some people know, chess has its own championship all around the world. As chess players around the world have known, chess legends such as Bobby Fischer, Garry Kasparov and Anatoly Karpov are amazing players that are so famous. But I really liked Magnus Carlsen.
Magnus Carlsen  is a Norwegian chess grandmaster and the current World Chess Champion. A chess prodigy, Carlsen tied for first place in the World U12 Chess Championship in 2002. Shortly after turning 13, he finished first in the C group of the Corus chess tournament, and earned the grandmaster title a few months later. At age 15, he won the Norwegian Chess Championship, and at 17, he finished joint first in the top group of Corus. He surpassed a rating of 2800 at age 18 and reached number one in the FIDE world rankings aged 19, becoming the youngest person ever to achieve those feats.

Sven Magnus Øen Carlsen was born on 30 November 1990 in Tønsberg, Vestfold, Norway. His parents, Sigrun Øen and Henrik Albert Carlsen, are engineers by profession. He started displaying his intellectual capabilities when he was still a toddler. At the age of two he could solve 50-piece jigsaw puzzles all by himself and proceeded to assemble Lego sets meant for much older children at the age of four. His father recognized the boy’s brilliance and competitive spirit and taught him to play chess. Carlsen became very fascinated with the game and played by himself for hours at a stretch. He also began reading books on chess which helped him in developing his game plan and skills. Blessed with a great memory, he soon developed into a formidable chess player despite his young age. He played in his first tournament—the youngest division of the 1999 Norwegian Chess Championship—at the age of eight. From 2000 to 2002, Carlsen played almost 300 rated tournament games, and in 2002 he finished second in the boys’ under-12 division at the Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) World Youth Chess Championship, held in Iráklion, Greece.

In the following year, he retained his title against Anand, and won both the 2014 World Rapid Championship and World Blitz Championship, thus becoming the first player to hold all three titles simultaneously. He defended his classical world title against Sergey Karjakin in 2016, and against Fabiano Caruana in 2018.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnus_Carlsen).

Malioboro Street

We have an assignment to write and present about a place/site. So, I and my friend chose Malioboro street.

Jalan Malioboro (English: Malioboro Street) is a major shopping street in YogyakartaIndonesia; the name is also used more generally for the neighborhood around the street. It lies north-south axis in the line between Yogyakarta Kraton and Mount Merapi. This is in itself is significant to many of the local population, the north-south orientation between the palace and the volcano being of importance.

Malioboro street is a wonderful place. Many tourists go there. This is because Malioboro street contains many unique crafts work and handmade from Yogyakarta. It is usually very crowded at night.

In Malioboro street, there is a mall called Malioboro mall. It is a three-storey mall that also contains many kinds of goods and crafts work made by the locals. The second and third floor mostly contains restaurants and shops we normally see in an ordinary mall but it also contains goods.

Besides the mall, there is a special food in the street called gudeg, which is a mixture of vegetables, but usually, people add their toppings such as chicken, meat, etc. This food is known all over Indonesia, but it is unique in Yogyakarta. This is a must-eat meal in Yogyakarta.
This street is very known all around the world. Its existence is well-known all around for its goods and unique crafts work from its locals. For me, this place is awesome and unique.

Sandy  : Hi, why were you absent yesterday?
Samuel:  Oh yesterday, I joined a Mathematical International Olympiad in Jakarta.
Sandy  : Did you win the competition or not?
Samuel: Well, I encountered many strong rivals, but they were no match for me, so I easily got 1st place.
Sandy  : Wow! Congratulations on your win, but you cannot be too arrogant.
Samuel: Well thank you for the advice, but no thanks, cause I live with it.
Sandy  : Okay fine up to you then. I wish I could be like you winning every competition with ease.
Samuel: Well I could teach you, but just for reminder, you could never reach me, at my level.

Introduction

My name is Samuel. I was born in Makassar, Indonesia, on 25 Nov 2005. Now I am 13 years old. I live in Antapani, Bandung, together with my mother, father, and my little brother. I just entered 3rd Senior High School in science degree.

I am the son of 2 loving parents and 1 great little brother. I couldn't wish for a better family. My dad works in Astragraphia, which makes him a businessman. My mother, however. doesn't work, instead, she was just happy to be a housewife, taking care of the three of us. My brother is currently studying in his 2nd year of Junior High School, where he works hard to achieve 1st rank in his class.

My favorite subject is Math. I just love how the calculations work in my head. It just thrills me. It has been my favorite since elementary school. However, in Junior high School, there was a part of the subject that I don't really like, which was making graphs. It's just that I was not good at drawing and I don't really like it.

I really like noodles, both fried and boiled. It slides in my throat with a delightful sensation following. I really like them, especially Indomie. It was just the best. Sadly, I can't eat them often, probably around 1 each week.

Well, I guess that is all I can tell about myself. Thank you for your attention!
